Gordon first met Skip when Randy Miller brought them together for the New Hampshire Fiddlers Union. They formed a natural synergy which has found them playing for dozens of dances and concerts, as a duo, and in various configurations with other musicians.
Skip is a remarkable master of many genres of music, including bluegrass mandolin (there are those who say Skip sounds more like Bill Monroe than Bill Monroe did) and cowboy songs. For fiddle music, Skip has a remarkable ability to capture the nuances unique to each tradition: Irish, Scottish, French Canadian, Appalachian, and New England.
Gordon has played on several of Skip’s’ recordings, including two which are pending release.
