Cure your cabin fever!
A few months ago I came across an LP of John Denver’s greatest hits. I hadn’t listened to this for a long time, so I put it on, and realized what wonderful songs he had written. I started having a little fantasy of a room full of people singing these songs.
A bit later I was playing at an open mic in the Harrisville Community Church. The sanctuary has wonderful acoustics, and I thought this would be the place to make it happen. I broached the idea to the minister, Traceymay. She liked the idea. Then I began rounding up musicians who could help lead a singalong. What a line-up! I’m so excited to be playing with these people, and we’re all excited about hearing a room full of people sing these songs with us.
We’ll have booklets of lyrics on hand so everyone can sign with confidence.
A suggested donation of $5 will help cover printing costs, with any left over funds going to the church to offset heat and use of the facility.
